We can start from the ground up and I can help you select an appropriate topic for your investigation and provide guidance during your background research to ensure you select reliable resources and use them effectively. These aspects of the investigation would generally require 1-2 sessions depending on how much work you have already put in.

Methodology & Data Analysis

Developing a method to complete the investigation of your topic can be challenging. Let me use my years of laboratory experience and working with IB Biology students to help you create a concise, yet repeatable, protocol - 1-2 sessions

For the IB IA you must collect substantial data and then submit it to a series of statistical tests. I can point you in the right direction and teach you how to conduct the tests such as student t-tests, Chi-Square analysis or ANOVAS. In addition, I can help you design spreadsheets that will create beautiful tables and graphs for your final paper (and help you with those statistics). - Usually 2 or so sessions depending on the student’s math background.

Final IA Paper Editing

Your final IA paper is your means to communicate the findings of your investigation to the IB. This paper presently counts 20% of the Final IA score. I can provide an additional pair of eyes to review your paper using the IB Biology IA rubric that will be used to score your paper. - 1-3 sessions depending on the amount of revision required.
